Meet Zachary Mauro
As a therapist, my mission is to provide open, honest, and safe discussion about the issues occurring in your life. I aim to serve as an unbiased professional to help guide you through your challenges.
In sessions, I use evidence-based modalities of treatment such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and strengths-based approaches. I often try a variety of methods to hone in on what works best for you and your situation so that we may make the greatest progress toward healthy solutions.
Who I help?
I work with individuals who face depression, anxiety, stress, grief/loss, LGBTQ+ issues, and more. I have experience working in mental health and addiction treatment (inpatient/outpatient), and have been fortunate to have worked across the entire lifespan in regards to mental health — from birth to death — including hospital case management, a nursing facility, community programs for the elderly, and hospice/palliative care. I believe that you’re the expert on your life and I feel that deep down we often know what we need to do to heal or make progress. My job is to support and assist you in the process as you define your next steps and explore and clarify the direction you want your life to take.
What can You Expect?
My practice offers fully virtual therapy sessions. With each of my clients, I aim to establish an open and honest flow of communication. I consider myself down to earth and easy going. I am open to the changes/challenges that come our way in everyday life, and I ask that clients stay communicative regarding scheduling and flexibility. Overall, I strive to create a safe place to build a trusting and positive relationship and look forward to accompanying you your therapy journey.
