Melissa Morris
My mission is to provide a supportive environment that is free of judgement. I believe that therapy is a partnership between the therapist and client, where the client is the expert. I help my clients gain insight and understanding into the patterns that are no longer serving them, and achieve they changes they want to see.
Who I help?
I have extensive experience working with adults and biological/adoptive families who are experiencing high conflict in the home or are going through a difficult transition. I have specialized training in attachment and trauma, and find this work to be some of the most rewarding.
My primary goal is to help adults and families transform their lives and become empowered to make the changes they want.
What can You Expect?
Getting started can be the most difficult part of making any change. You can expect a supportive, relaxed environment that is free of judgement. I encourage open dialogue between us, so that the client is getting what they want out of therapy.

I meet everyone where they are at and adjust my counseling approach to meet the needs of the individual or family. I am experienced in Structural Family Therapy and also use aspects of Person-centered therapy, Reality therapy, and Trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy.
When I am not at AMW then you will find me
Relaxing at home or walking dogs as a volunteer at Animal Friends.
