Hi! Thank you for taking the time to find out more about me. I’ve been in the field for over 20 years, and I have developed an eclectic collection of modalities that I use to work with clients. I pull strongly from trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centered treatment approaches.

Using a trauma-informed approach means that I practice as though everyone I meet has experienced trauma of some kind. I practice this in my personal and professional life, and find it allows me to easily offer compassion and understanding to others.

I truly believe relationships are the foundation of therapy, so I try my best to be authentic, genuine, and transparent. Furthermore, I work hard to be culturally knowledgeable and humble with every client.

Who I help?

I have a passion for working with marginalized people, specifically BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals.  It is an honor to watch as someone develops confidence in who they are.  I prefer to partner with those willing to work hard and look inward.

I have been successful in working with those struggling with identity, trauma, substance use/abuse, and life changes/transitions.  I work best with those who have autonomy over their lives, which typically means late teens and adults.

What can You Expect?

I believe talk therapy can be powerful on its own, and I do use evidence-based modalities like CBT, EMDR, and DBT when appropriate.

Body work is also important in treating the whole person, so you can expect to connect with your body as we move forward in the therapeutic process. My goal is to create a space where you feel as secure as possible so that you can be vulnerable enough to explore discomfort.

Prepare to be challenged in a supportive and non-judgmental environment, and I will expect you to be committed and fully present while we’re together.  I am typically available via telehealth, but am willing to work with you in person if that feels better for you.

When I am not at AMW then you will find me

There are two things I would love more of: traveling and tattoos.

However, my self-care routine includes car karaoke on the regular, spending time with my friends and family, and hanging with my two Pit bulls, Tovi and Odin.
